3
Moon rise/set

4Moon rise, moon culmination and moon set are always caluclated such
5that the time displayed refers to the next moon rise, culmination or
6set respectively. A blue background marks the next event to happen.
7
8
Disk

9The moon disk is the visible brightness of the moon. The time in brackets
10is the time to the next moon set or rise, depening on which event
11happens earlier. An up-arrow denotes that it is the time to the moon rise,
12a down-arrow that it is the time to the moon set.
13
14
Position

15If the moon is above horizon, its current position is displayed in local
16coordinates. The background color represents
17

18
The moon is above 25° zenith distance

19
The moon is between 25° and 45° zenith distance

20
The moon is lower than 45° zenith distance

21
The moon is not visible

22

23The assumption is that the further the moon is from the zenith, the
24more light is scattered and the more influence the moon has on
25the observations. It does not directly translate into the particular
26observation conditions or observability.
27
28
Source distance to moon

29The table displays the angular distance between the sources from the
30database and the moon at any time of the day. The colors represent
31

32
No moon light is directly hitting the G-APDs

33
The distance is very close to the direct or indirect field-of-view of the cones.

34
The moon is within th efield-of-view. This condition should be avoided as much as possible.

35

37Note that the color scales are not well motivated as of today. Anybody
38is invited to investigate this issue in more details.
