    44\subsection{Calibration}
     5
     6In this section, we describe the tests performed using light pulses of different colour,
     7pulse shapes and intensities with the MAGIC calibration pulser box.
     8\par
     9The LED pulser system is able to provide fast light pulses of 3--4\,ns FWHM
     10with intensities ranging from 3--4 photo-electrons to more than 500 in one inner pixel of the
     11camera. These pulses can be produced in three colours (``errors'' denote the spectral width):
     12
     13\begin{itemize}
     14\item Green: 520$\pm$40\,nm
     15\item Blue:  460$\pm$30\,nm
     16\item UV:    375$\pm$12\,nm
     17\end{itemize}
     18
     19Whereas the UV-pulse is very stable, the green and blue pulses show sometimes secondary pulses after
     20about 10--40\,ns from the real pulse.
     21\par
     22Available intensities depend on the involved pulser light colour:
     23\begin{itemize}
     24\item Green: 6 -- 120 phes
     25\item Blue:  6 -- 500 phes
     26\item UV:    3 -- 50 phes
     27\end{itemize}
     28
     29One can see that the very stable UV-pulses are unfortunately only available in such intensities as to
     30not saturate the high-gain readout channel. However, the brightest combination of light pulses easily
     31saturates all channels in the camera, but does not reach a saturation of the low-gain channel.
     32\par
     33Our tests can be classified into three subsections:
     34
     35\begin{enumerate}
     36\item Stability tests: These include numbers of excluded pixels by the calibration software,
     37numbers of reconstructed photo-electrons and counts of the numbers of outliers from the Gaussian
     38reconstructed charge distributions.
     39\item Linearity tests: These test the linearity of the extractor with respect to pulses of different intensity
     40and colour.
     41\item Time resolution: These tests
     42\end{enumerate}
